Ledger service rewrite
Moved a monolithic billing flow onto a Django service with idempotent Celery tasks. Reconciliation went from a nightly worry to a non-event.
I'm Monil — a software engineer who spends most days in Python and Django, keeping queues moving with Celery and Redis and keeping things upright on AWS. I like systems that are boring in production and honest about their failures.

Where it all runs
I started out fixing other people's slow endpoints and never quite stopped. Most of my work sits behind the screen: Django services, Celery workers chewing through queues, Redis where speed matters, and enough AWS to know which alarms are worth waking up for.
Outside of work I write — mostly notes to my future self about things that broke and what I learned putting them back together. If any of that sounds useful, my inbox is genuinely open.
I write about Django internals, queue design, and the small operational lessons that only arrive after something has already gone wrong. New posts land at blogs.monilsaraswat.com.
Open to interesting backend work, and always happy to talk shop about queues, caching or a system that has outgrown its first design.
